RAIN DELAY DOESN’T STOP NIGEL AT PARICHAT

News Picture

Thirty six golfers arrived at Parichat from The Links and were greeted with a very ominous looking sky. Despite this, the first group teed off in the hope that the dark clouds would pass. It wasn’t to be however and by the time they reached the 4th green, the heavens opened. From then it was a race to reach the safety at the kiosk on the 5th. It was not looking good for play with 3 groups still to tee off. After a wait of about 45 minutes the skies were clearing and although there was still light rain, most of the players went back onto the course which had drained very well.
It was Nigel Henson who weathered the storm best and his 37 points was more than good enough to claim the Green Jacket. Nigel was presented with the Green Jacket by Phil which was Phil’s last duty for a few months as he and Joy return to the UK so Phil can undergo treatment. They both leave with the very best wishes from all at The Links and I am sure every other Golf Society in Pattaya.
