Lawn Bowls
The sport of lawn bowls has seen a resurgence in recent years and is increasingly popular amongst locals and expats alike. This area now boasts four lawn bowls facilities with Ban Chang Bowls Club, Paradise Lawn Bowls Pattaya, and Coco Club Indoor Lawn Bowls sporting artificial greens and the Retreat Lawn Bowls Club having both grass and carpet at the same location.
Each Club organizes their own internal competitions and practice sessions and all welcome new players and will offer instruction to beginners.
The latest development was the creation of the PSC Pattaya Lawn Bowls League (read more) which is proving very popular. Set up to promote the sport, the league has 6 teams of 12 players, both Thais and Expats, who are playing once a month on a home and away basis. Playing triples, pairs and fours all on the same match day is novel to say the least but good fun and great for the development of the game here.

Banchang Lawn Bowls Club
Located in the heart of Banchang, this brand new covered facility has 6 artificial rinks, which are probably the fastest in Thailand. Great venue just off the beach which provides a comfortable environment all year round.
The fee is just B250 per day which includes hire of equipment and use of all facilities.
Open roll up sessions are held every Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 10am to which all bowlers are welcome and the Club organizes various more serious competitions throughout the year.

Coco Sports Indoor Lawn Bowling
Coco Sports is located directly behind Phoenix Golf Course off Sukhumvit Road and has 4 indoor international size rinks playing at 15 seconds which is in the medium of the World Bowls Association range of acceptable speeds.
Mondays and Wednesdays are designated as open play for all bowlers to join in for 300 baht which includes all day bowling, hire of bowls, and a buffet lunch and freedom to utilize other facilities in the resort. Tuition is available free of charge from Thailand National Squad players, who are also available to play against any visiting teams.

Paradise Lawn Bowls Pattaya
Conveniently situated just off Jomtien 2nd Road this is another brand new open air facility with 8 artificial rinks and floodlights. Facilities include a spacious clubhouse and amenities and will provide a great venue for bowls and bowls related functions. Advance bookings are required.

The Retreat Lawn Bowls Club
Situated only 20 minutes from Pattaya in the Nongprue District, the Retreat Lawn Bowling Club has 2 international standard greens with 5 grass and 5 artificial rinks. This well established Club has very good on-site facilities and has remained popular for many years amongst both with the local lawn bowls fraternity and the many overseas visitors alike.
Open to the public every day you can just walk in and play for only B300 per day which includes hire of equipment, use of all facilities which include a spacious clubhouse with changing rooms and showers, swimming pool and children’s play area. Food and drinks are readily available.
There are roll ups every Wednesday, Friday and Sunday afternoons with various more serious competitions organized on a regular basis.
