JOHN TRIUMPHS AT GREEN VALLEY AS JP GETS HOLE IN ONE

The Links took 10 groups to Green Valley on Wednesday and were greeted with a course in excellent condition with the greens in particular being very true. The Valley had problems with their greens 2 months ago but we are glad to report that the issue had been sorted and were in very good condition. We were originally given a 10.30 tee off time but that was brought forward to 10.00 which was much appreciated.
Johnny Reps just returned to Pattaya at the weekend and won the Green Jacket on his first appearance with 38 points which was an excellent effort when you consider he wiped the first but still managed 20 points for the front 9. In 2nd place was Gerner Lykke who returned 37 points.
Highlight of the day was 8 handicapper Jean – Pierre Gasser who holed in one at the 129 yard 8th hole. I am sure JP will not mind me saying that when he was last here 6 months ago, he shot gross scores of 77 and 78 . Remarkable scores when you take into account that he is 79 years of age.
