SELWYN DOUBLES UP AT SIAM WATERSIDE

35 golfers took to Siam Waterside and were greeted by a course in fantastic condition. It is not hard to understand why people take out a membership at Siam which has excellent practice facilities and courteous and knowledgeable staff.
Our groups all teed off under bright sunshine but the clouds were beginning to roll in and we did have a 30 minute delay when they were hit with a heavy shower and some lightning. Although there had been some heavy overnight rain, there was still good run on the fairways.
As for the golf, Selwyn Yates has come back to Pattaya and hit a rich vein of form. A winner last week he returned 40 points to lead the field and secure another Green Jacket. Runner-up was Kevin McEntee who edged out Bob Watson on a count back after both returned 39 points. Interesting point was that of the 5 podium winners, 4 had handicaps of under 12.
