The old chestnut of ‘its too far to go’ came out when Bangpakong Riverside was on the schedule.
Consequently, we started with just ten players for this visit.
What those complainers missed out on was a very nice day on a near empty course, in hot but comfortable weather.

With the big, wide open spaces and flat, near perfect greens, this course always presents a chance to post a big score, maybe to restore confidence if a player’s last couple of scores have been not so good.

Martin Crichton, aka ‘Tinnie’, took full advantage by posting 41 points, a score not unusual for this course. Therefore he got to wear the Green Jacket for the first time.

Only ten starters, so only two placings today.

Selwyn Yates, who has extended his visit a couple of times was looking for a good score on this, his definite, last game before heading home to Aus. and back to work.
He has had plenty of good scores while here and finished the trip with another 38 points.

The big worry that was stated was that Friday afternoon traffic on the ‘seven’ would be bad, and a public holiday to boot, would make it a slow trip.

As it happened, all the holiday makers had finished travelling for a few days and the trip home much quicker than the worriers had thought.

All were back at Links by about 3.30 pm and choosing which one of the 𝟵𝟵 𝗯𝗵𝘁 𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗹𝘂𝗻𝗰𝗵 𝗱𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘀 they would order.

𝙇𝙄𝙉𝙆𝙎 𝙂𝙊𝙇𝙁 𝙎𝙊𝘾𝙄𝙀𝙏𝙔 is a PSC affiliated, friendly group and welcomes golfers of all levels.
We play COMPETITION GOLF 𝙈𝙤𝙣𝙙𝙖𝙮 ,𝙒𝙚𝙙𝙣𝙚𝙨𝙙𝙖𝙮 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙁𝙧𝙞𝙙𝙖𝙮.
