After what has become the usual merry-go-round of ins and outs, we started our day at Burapha Golf with 18 golfers.

We were allocated the unusual combination of B and C courses, following behind another society.

However, true to the great service from the Marshals here, two of our groups were sent to start on the C nine. This relieved what might have been a slow day.

Unfortunately, as good as the Marshals are, they cannot control the weather, so the day did become slower because of two stoppages for rain during the round.

Three days ago, he scored a big 41 points but was beaten into second place on countback so, with another 40 points today, gross 74, has thoroughly deserved to win and to wear the Green Jacket again, something he has missed out on since September last year.

Bike riding Walter Baechli, on his day, can come up with a really good golf score. As an example, last Friday he managed just 28 points, but has found the real Walter today to take second place with a very solid 39 points.

Not sure how Kevin LaBarโ€™s handicap got up to #16, but there it is. He has taken full advantage of those extra shots to come in with a terrific 38 points for the third spot.

Steve Moxey had a couple of days off with a cold, which he managed to pass on to a couple of others 555.

He has picked up where he left off with yet another placing after a good 35 points got him fourth place on the podium.

Kenny Jepson, for the second consecutive game, has taken a โ€˜best nineโ€™. Whatโ€™s happening Kenny? A Green Jacket next?

Burapha courses are in very good condition, even considering the rain. Everyone was happy with the cut of the fairways and the very fair greens.

As we drove to the course, the dark clouds were getting heavier, so it came as no surprise that the rain did hit Burapha, although we always hope it will pass by.
