It seems like only yesterday that Jim Ferris, with his revitalized golf game, collected a good win. But, in fact, it was almost two months ago with a score of 37 points.
Since then, a couple of worthy scores, including one score of 38 points which, on that day, wasn’t enough to be in the placings.
Jim has kept up the good form to come through again, and this time his 39 points did get him top spot.

Huw Phillips is a good golfer and, even though there have been a few ordinary scores recently, he is always capable of turning in a competitive score.
Today, Huw has played to his higher handicap of #14 with a solid 36 points for the second place.

Since Billy Buchanan started playing more regularly, he has been producing some very credible scores. At our visit to Green Valley just about two weeks ago, Billy scored 36 points, and he has made exactly that same score again.
Unlike last time, this one does get him into a place on the podium.

As per our last visit, the course has maintained the same very good condition. The fairways are well cut, although one wag admitted that he can’t comment on the fairways, but can give a good account of the rough.

The greens have pace and are running truly, and those who experienced the bunkers agreed that, now with new sand in them, were happy with the way they played, if you can be happy in a bunker.

Our first group, a four ball, teed off 30 minutes early and, even following a couple of three ball’s, somehow made a quick round of just three and a quarter hours.
Once again, it was a very early afternoon back at Links Bar for presentations.
