𝙇𝙄𝙉𝙆𝙎 𝙂𝙊𝙇𝙁 𝙎𝙊𝘾𝙄𝙀𝙏𝙔...𝙍𝙤𝙮𝙖𝙡 𝙇𝙖𝙠𝙚𝙨𝙞𝙙𝙚…𝙈𝙤𝙣..𝙁𝙚𝙗.21...𝙎/𝙛𝙤𝙧𝙙

John Chelo had played in, and won, a match play at this course a day earlier, so was feeling pretty confident about this round.
In one of his rare appearances at Links Golf these days, John, with all that confidence, finished a very good round of golf with 42 points stableford to take the win. He might be thinking ‘favourite course’.

Lawrie McBride just keeps on playing terrific golf and, with a lower handicap, had yet another good score of 39 points to finish the ‘bridesmaid’, yet again. But we are fairly sure he is not too unhappy with his game right now.

Dave Heyes equalled his best score for this trip with a gross of 85 for 37 points, and a win in the countback took him to third place.

George Mueller is always capable of finding a good score. It doesn’t happen every game, but does happen quite regularly. Today’s 37 points is one of those better days and he has grabbed fourth spot after losing that countback.

Paul Smith never usually has much wrong with his game and, with a handicap equalling score of 36 points, saw Paul finish in fifth spot.

A very dark, ominous cloud hung above the first tee as our 7 groups started the round, but then it broke up, only for it, or similar cloud, to move over and around the course during play. With our good luck holding, we escaped the rain again.

The course is in excellent condition, as always here, and this usually produces some top scoring, as today. The renovations to the bunkers is almost a work of art, but still better to not get into them.

We started pretty much on time following another Society, but pace of play was steady and all finished in about the four hours.
