There is so much to like about going to play golf at Pattana Golf Club. The course is almost always presented in great condition. The greens, which had some problems a few months ago are now in tip top condition, and have been since being fixed. Plenty of praise coming from players for the course overall.

We had eight groups, and this course has the most accommodating starters, who seem to be ready to allow us a two tee start if requested. So, with four groups starting each side, there was no long waiting about to tee off.

The player with the highest praise for the course was Nigel Henson, and why not? Not only did the course play well, but he played exceptionally well.
A great score of 44 points from his handicap of #14 put him well ahead of the rest of the ‘A’ flight and overall.

Michel Deletraz must have been very happy with his day, scoring 39 points to take second spot.
Lawrie McBride should be 𝙈𝙘𝘽𝙧𝙞𝙙𝙚𝙨𝙢𝙖𝙞𝙙, as he has finished in the placings regularly, but only getting top billing once since his return to Pattaya last month. Ironically that win was at this course in January.

Another fine score of 38 points to win the third spot this time.

Dave Heyes has been warming to the task with some better recent scores. He has fourth place with 36 points after winning a narrow countback.

This is one of Dave McKey’s favourite courses and usually does well here. He has again, with a solid 37 points to wave the flag at the top of ‘B’ flight.

Mike Firkin scored hardly any points a few days ago, but has come back strongly with 36 points for second spot. These two finished top two but in reverse at that previous game in January.

Tony Browne wore the Green Jacket a week ago and kept up that form for 35 points and third place here.

Mike Souden in one of his quick trips to Pattaya, and last for a little while, having to go back to work, took fourth spot with 34 points after winning a countback.
