At the end of his two months stay in Thailand, the longest stint so far, Vito Cirelli put in the big game to grab a last minute win, and his first Green Jacket.

Vito’s score of 37 points held off a challenge from the man on crutches, Stan Stewart, who had 36 points for the second place.

Paul Walia returned to Pattaya after a long absence, due to all of the restrictions, and immediately announced his return with a good score of 35 points to take third spot.

Lawrie McBride has been consistent and gets his name on the leaderboard often enough. This time he has won a countback on 33 points for fourth place.

Pius Caminada, has played four games with us since coming to Links with his mate, Marco Beer, and has made some good scores. He narrowly lost that countback on 33 points for the fifth spot.

Andy Kelleher won a three way countback to grab the final, place on the podium with 32 points.

The Khao Kheow course is in ‘mixed’ condition, with some fairways having dry patches as well as some well grassed places. The greens, as usual here, are running truly and with good pace.

The clouds were gathering most of the day and became darker and heavier but, happily, produced no rain while we were playing.
