The Links monthly scramble was once again very well supported at Pattaya Country Club on what was a windy but dry day. It was a very close affair with one shot separating the first 4 places.
The breezy conditions certainly had an adverse effect on the scoring but it was Paul Anderson and Mike Smith who mastered the conditions better than any other pairing with a net score of 65.50. Runners-up were their playing partners, Derek Hutcheson and Kevin LaBar.who would have won if 12 and 9 was 23 which would have given them a handicap of 5.75. It took a while for Hutch to realise that 12 and 9 is 21!
1st Place Paul Anderson / Mike Smith (4.50) – 65.50
2nd Place Derek Hutcheson / Kevin LaBar (5.25) – 65.75
3rd Place Michael Palleson / Torben Lindegaard (11.00) – 66.00
4th Place Tony Cliff / Ted Senior (7.50) – 66.50
