PHIL STRIKES AGAIN AT GREENWOOD

Courses A & B were on the menu for our 5 groups who went to Greenwood. It is great value for money with good facilities and a courteous staff. I think the Links had a first today with 3 generations of the same family playing. Welcome the Frobergs from Finland. Thanks go to George Mueller who made up the group. As many know, George is a master on many languages but the looks on the Frobergs faces when George conversed in Finnish was something to behold. 12 year old Kevin Froberg is probably one of the youngest players to play with The Links and if his drive at the first hole is anything to go by he is a champion in the making.
As for the golf, it was a second green jacket of the month for Phil Ashton. Phil came in with 34 points which included 22 for the back nine. That was enough to beat Russell Blatchford on count back.
