POWER OUTAGE DOESN’T STOP DEANO SURGING AT PATTAVIA

35 golfers from The Links travelled to play probably the fastest greens on our schedule at Pattavia. Upon arrival, we were informed that the clubhouse was experiencing a power outage lasting 9 hours. Fortunately the outage only lasted 6 hours so at least some of our golfers managed a shower.
It was an overcast but dry day with a good breeze making life difficult for the golfers. Indeed, there was only 1 score that broke par. Jon Dean came in with 38 points to give him his first Green Jacket. His 38 points was an excellent score considering the strong breeze and fast greens.
I think the Links had a society first today when Little Slotty put his tee shot at the par 3 13th hole to about 6 feet which saw him win the near pin award. Putting for a birdie and a much needed 3 points, LS managed to wipe the hole!
