CHRIS WINS HIS MAIDEN GREEN JACKET AT PLEASANT VALLEY

Our 7 groups set off at Pleasant Valley in blistering hot conditions. With no breeze it was pretty uncomfortable. Like Parichat on Friday, the weather changed dramatically by the time last few groups were finishing with a deluge of rain which flooded the 9th and 18th greens. Fortunately, all our groups had completed the course just prior to storm.
As for the Golf, it was a maiden Green Jacket for Chris Barker who won on a countback from Nick Aubin after both returned 36 points. Chris has played just under 100 rounds of golf with The Links over the last 2 years so his victory was well worth waiting for.
