MAI CLEANS UP AT KHAO KHEOW

HIDE
It was another wet day when we arrived at Khao Kheow with the odd flashes of lightning and rumbling of thunder. Upon arrival, it was well noticeable that a severe storm had just passed by with a lot of debris on the fairways which the maintenance teams were busy tidying up. B & C were the courses played with A closed until the end of August. A persistent drizzle greeted our players for the first hour but thankfully the rain abated and the cloud cover certainly kept the temperature down.
Playing off the 6500 yards yellow tees, scoring was going to be difficult and so it proved with only one score beating the par of 36 points. Winner of the event was Mai who returned 41 points although it should be said that Mai had a huge advantage by playing of the red tees which measured 5100 yards. Nevertheless, it was still a splendid effort.
RESULTS
1st Place Mai (22) - 41
2nd Place Ray Cody (16) - 35
3rd Place George Mueller (17) - 34
4th Place Nick Aubin (6) – 33 c/b
BF9 NW Hans Pedersen 18
BB9 NW William Brown 19
