RANGERS MAN LAWRIE WINS THE GREEN JACKET AT PATTAYA COUNTRY CLUB

Fourteen groups from The Links played Pattaya Country Club on Monday in what was a good day for golf with a gentle breeze making the temperature almost bearable. Once again we had 2 flights with Flight A being 0-15 and Flight B 16+.
It was certainly a glorious day for Lawrie McBride who returned 40 points to pip 9 handicapper Selwyn Yates on a countback. Lawrie is a regular visitor to The Links and will be the first to admit that his game hasn’t been up to scratch this trip but he certainly came back with a bang at PCC. Special mention should go to Barry Welling who had three 2s in his round.
