GRIFF GALLOPS AWAY AT SILKY OAK

The Links took 43 golfers to Silky Oak on Friday on another perfect day for golf with a slight breeze helping to keep the temperatures down. Like the other 2 courses at the Barcelona complex, Green Valley and St Andrews, Silky Oak has gone under a severe maintenance programme which has paid immense dividends.
As for the golf, Keith Griffith and his partner in crime Dave Clewley have their own private battle on the courses with the pair tied at 7 wins apiece with Keith coming back from 7-3 down. On Friday he jumped ahead of his friend with a stunning 44 points. The consolation for Dave was that with his 39 points he was runner up.
