Pattana Golf Club was quite busy when our twenty four golfers arrived for the second time in a couple of weeks.
The switched on starters here, in order to make things easy for everyone, asked us to do a two tee start which, with only six groups, we wouldn’t normally ask for, but it turned out to be a good idea and enabled all groups to complete the round without any delays

We played the ‘B’ course, which has just re-opened after some renovations. Pattana is always working to make a good course better.
The new tee boxes haven’t finished growing yet, but are playable, the fairways are in very good order and the greens are running truly, if a little slower than usual.

𝗣𝗮𝘂𝗹 𝗔𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗼𝗻 was a regular at Links for a while but, along with a couple of others, found greener pastures elsewhere, so only makes rare visits to play with Links.
He was here today and made his highest points score for some months. Topping the list at 41 points gave him the win and the Green Jacket.

A week ago, Mike Tottenham scored 39 points and did not figure in the placings. Today, another big score of 40 points and this time he has taken second spot.

When Brendan Kane arrived this trip he was sporting a handicap of #3. He struggled, with some frustration, for many games. But then, he found his real form and has been further up the leaderboard, including a winning 41 points in May. Today, 39 points is a handy score and gets him third place.

Steve Moxey has been consistent and was in the mix again with a very good 37 points. After a countback on that score, He has grabbed the fourth spot.

The weather was warm and, happily, no sign of rain, although there wasn’t much breeze around.
Alan Walker is pushing up towards 80 yrs of age and was here on his umpteenth visit to Pattaya and still likes to have a game of golf. He is heading home tomorrow, but managed to snare himself a prize of ‘best front nine’ with 19 points as a parting gesture. He will return in December.
