The big question is ‘why Parichat?” This is a course avoided by Links Golf for various reasons. However, in trying to frame a May schedule around the numerous public holidays for the month, and most courses charging, for whatever reason, extra price for that day, we came up with something reasonable.

After a heavy rain in Pattaya in the morning, the expected drop outs left us with 19 starters for the short trip to the course.

Thierry Petrement appeared back in Pattaya a week ago after a longer than expected stay in France, for family reasons, and got right back into his best form. And he needed it playing this tricky golf course.
Thierry scored 36 points to win the day after surviving a close countback.

That guy, John Reps, was there again and settled for second place after scoring his 36 points, but being beaten in that countback.
These are very good scores on a tricky, quirky course.

Another countback took place to decide the next two spots.

Jamie Booterbaugh never plays a bad game, it seems, and he won a countback for third place with 35 points ahead of Billy Buchanan, who is getting consistent, now playing more often.

After the early, scary rain in Pattaya, we had a near perfect day for golf with a cloud cover most of the round and quite coolish conditions, and everyone finished dry.
The course was in surprisingly very nice condition and the caddies, although apparently bar one, were judged to be very knowledgeable and helpful.

Many, after playing here for the first time, stated that they would like to come back here.
Another one to add to future schedules, it seems.
