Glen Elsworth is a busy man and decided that he had time to get a game of golf in so, since we had a spare slot when another player cancelled, it turned out a good decision by Glen to be a late entry.
He is a steady golfer, although his scores have been nothing to get excited about since his 43 points last December.

Today, with a score of 39 points and, in a head to head battle with Eammon Moran, he has won the countback to nab the top spot.

Eammon was playing his first game in Thailand since Nov.2019 and obviously arrived in good form. A first up score of 39 points landed him in second place.

Banjo Bannister went missing from Links for a period but is back with us. He is also a steady type player but has stepped that up a bit here with a strong 38 points to be in third place.
Banjo must like this course as, at his last outing here, he had the same total of 38 points.

Wednesday’s winner, John Reps, was in the mix again with a handy 36 points for the fourth place.

Dave Arataki is putting some good scores together and grabbed fifth place with 36 points after losing the countback against John.

The general consensus with players was that the course was in top condition, but that is not unusual as that is almost always the case here. Although some greens had had some minor repairs and were lightly sanded, they still played truly and with the renowned pace, especially downhill.

Depending on which part of the world you come from, the weather was very hot and tiring, or quite warm with the odd breeze to make it comfortable.

No silly stuff today, but Pat Treacy wore the ‘wig’ for the first time after a not so good score.
