𝗟𝗜𝗡𝗞𝗦 𝗚𝗢𝗟𝗙 𝗦𝗢𝗖𝗜𝗘𝗧𝗬…𝗘𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝗿....𝗙𝗿𝗶..𝗠𝗮𝗿. 𝟰.. 𝗦/𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗱

The morning weather was starting to warm up as our 33 golfers headed for the first tee.
As usual on a Friday, we were behind another golf society, the same one each time here, which had five groups playing from the white tees.

Our first three groups were three ball’s so, following five four ball’s was going to be quite slow going.
The course was in good condition and, as has been the case of late here, the greens are pretty quick,

It seems like most players had a ‘bad hair’ day as only three players managed to score handicap or better.

The surprise packet of the day was Richard Dobson with the day’s top score of 38 points, from his handicap of #35, to win the ‘B’ flight. This was to be Richard’s first Green Jacket for all the years he has been coming here.

Travel mates, Keith Griffith and Dave Clewley, fresh off the plane from a quick trip to the U.K took the next two places with 37 and 36 points respectively.

Dave Arataki, after winning his flight two days ago, kept the good form going with 31 points for the fourth spot.

The ‘A’ flight was a bit lack lustre with the top score of 33 points coming from both Andy Kelleher and Jamie Booterbaugh, with Andy getting the nod on a close countback.

The Green Jacket winner form two days ago, Mike Ehlert, also won a countback on 31 points to take third place from Michel Deletraz.

The round turned out to be not as slow as it might have, and all finished in good time and back to Links Bar for presentations and some Spaghetti Bolognese.
