Tony Browne is still in good form with a score of 37 points and, in another tight finish at the top, won the countback again, just as he did two weeks ago at Eastern Star.

Martin Patch, more often than not, plays in the same group with Tony, but not this time. He had a strong first nine with 20 points, but Tony had his 20 points on the countback nine.

Billy Buchanan plays sparingly, in amongst pool playing, but pops up with a good score at times. 35 points got him to third place here.

Derek Phillips scored 40 points on Wednesday to win his flight. He has carried that form through to have 34 points today, and take fourth spot.

Andy Kelleher, after a solid 37 points, also on Wednesday, grabbed fifth place with 33 points, winning a three way countback on that score.

Gordon Laviolette, after getting some advice from a mate in Canada on his swing and follow through, made it to the podium in sixth place, also with 33 points.

Michel Deletraz was the unlucky one to miss out on 33 points.

As always, this course was in great condition, with fairways well grassed, although there was the odd bare patch. Considering the recent rains, it was not all the wet, although playing lift, clean and place was a good idea.
The much talked about greens were quick and tricky, of course, although a couple of โ€˜wagsโ€™ reckon they were not as hostile as they can be. Good news.
Heavy clouds threatened all day to drop heaps of rain but, once again we got lucky and finished dry.
