Three scores of 40 points, followed by Three scores of 38 points.
Only a mini field of sixteen travelled to Bangpakong but all put up a great show.
The good scores indicate just what we would expect from this wide open and flat course, which is always presented in wonderful condition. The greens were running truly but slightly slower than what is usual here.
After the countbacks were completed Mike Ehlert came out on top in with 21 pts on the back nine.
All of these lessons and range practice heโs been working long hours on is paying off nicely as this was his second win in a week.
Lawrie โMcBridesmaidโ and Francis Goyons both had 20 points for the back nine with Lawrie winning that countback, on the last six, to take up his usual position.
This left Francis in third place after another steady performance from him.
Although there were to be only four places, it came down to a three way tie on 38 points where Mike Tottenham scored the best back nine of 22 points to take that final spot.

On Tuesday afternoon, Bangpakong asked us to change to an earlier tee time as, at our booked time, which was suggested by their office at the time of booking, the price would be higher than the expected 1399 bht all-in.
Some phone calls and messages to players resulted in everyone being ready for departure on time, Phew!
The day started hot, with no air movement, even no ripples on the water. By one oโclock a welcome breeze came in and brought with it some darkening cloud.
Nothing came of it and the sky lightened again until, as our last group walked from the course, it became very dark above. As we drove out of the front gate, the heavens opened and rained almost the entire trip back to Pattaya.
A lucky escape, so that everyone finished with dry clothes.
