Funny how things change but stay the same. It is just three weeks ago that we visited Treasure Hill. On that day the result was a countback for first place, with two players recording 34 points apiece.
Today, we had two (different) players scoring 34 points apiece to decide the first place on countback.

Mike Ehlert has been putting in a lot of time having golf lessons and practicing at the range. The new swing was taking some time, but it now looks likely settled in and, even though 34 points isn’t a big score, at this course it is enough.

Butsarawan Phintham (Noy) was playing with us for the first time in a couple of years and did well to run a close second to Mike, with her own score of 34 points.

Recently, the Japanese connection has played some games with us and, today, introduced a new member of the group. Tatsumi Tazoe found instant success with a score of 32 points, 23 points on the back nine!!, to take third place ahead of South Korean, Young Min Ko, who also had 32 points but lost the countback.

Keeping with the international spirit, Swiss-French Francis Goyons had 31 points on a low scoring day to grab fifth spot.

One a rare appearance, these days, John Anderson, knowing this course well, took the final placing on the podium with 30 points, after having 21 points on the back nine!!

The course is in good condition, although the grass is thinning in places and the usual quick greens were varied in speed from one hole to another, but still running truly.

𝗪𝗲 𝗱𝗼𝗻’𝘁 𝘂𝘀𝘂𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝗱𝗼 𝗳𝗮𝗿𝗲𝘄𝗲𝗹𝗹𝘀 𝗼𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝘀𝗲 𝗽𝗮𝗴𝗲𝘀, 𝗯𝘂𝘁 𝘄𝗲 𝗺𝗮𝗸𝗲 𝗮𝗻 𝗲𝘅𝗰𝗲𝗽𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲.
About four months ago, this bloke from South Korea showed up to play golf, having never played competition before. With some tutoring from a couple of players, he quickly learnt enough to be finding himself in the placings and even winning a Green Jacket.

With enthusiastic waving of arms and running out to meet any familiar face approaching the bar, Young Min Ko has made many friends and provided plenty of smiles.
He returns home for work now, but we hope to see him back soon. Safe Travels Young, see you soon.
