After some brief, but welcome showers in the preceding two days, Pattana Course was looking a picture, and playing nicely.
Nigel Henson was the first to comment on how good it was, and so he should, as his was the first scorecard returned with a great score of 40 points, and while the other twenty six scores that followed were mostly very good, Nigel was never headed.
Keith Griffith, along with his mate, Dave Crewley, returned to Pattaya about two weeks ago for what used to be an annual visit, and have played most rounds with us.
Keith has had a couple of scores in the thirties and this time had an excellent 39 points to take second place.
Never far away from the top, Jean-Pierre Gasser was right in the mix again with a terrific 37 points for third spot.
Huw Phillips scored his second successive 36 points in three days, to grab fourth place in a consistent display over the month of December.
Toshi Abe is a bit of a traveller, along with his buddy, Masa Okada. Toshi was firstly excited to win a โnear pinโ and even more excited to be in fifth place with 35 points.
Mike Kaps kept on with his quest for the Green Jacket by being on the podium again, this time in sixth place after winning a countback on 34 points and, he too, grabbed a โnear pinโ.
Mike beat consistent Petur Petursson by a fraction, so Petur rounded out the placings.

We had a debate on whether to run two flights or to go down the list to seven places. Obviously, the latter won out, but nobody seemed too disappointed, especially those who won.
The weather was back to low humidity and pleasant, producing a welcome a breeze which was strong at times.
Finally, a Thank You to ๐๐ต๐๐ป ๐๐ฒ๐ป๐ at Pattana for allowing us a late booking after a problem elsewhere, and at a very nice rate for the day.
