He’s seventy eight years of age, plays off a, usual, handicap of #10, walks the golf course and his swing timing is as smooth as the timing of the punchline of his jokes.
𝗝𝗲𝗮𝗻-𝗣𝗶𝗲𝗿𝗿𝗲 𝗚𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗲𝗿 ‘shot his age’ two weeks ago and. today went one better with a score of 42 points, a gross of 77.
There is no doubt that he clearly won the ‘𝗔’ 𝗳𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 today, and plenty of applause.

In the very short time that John Reps has been with us, he has been producing some very good scores and is quickly lowering his handicap. With a score of 40 points, he has won a countback for second place.

We are not sure of Jim McLean’s age, maybe a little way to go before the magic ‘shoot my age’, but a great 40 points from a handicap of #8 gave him 76 gross, in his final round for this trip to Thailand.

Petur Petursson has had a small drift in his handicap, but kept up some good form with a score of 38 points for the fourth place.
Ben Hebert rounded out the ‘A’ Flight by winning a countback on 36 points.

In the‘𝗕’ 𝗳𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁, Mike Firkin went from the basement to the Penthouse in one fell swoop after a dismal score two days ago. His score of 37 points gave him the win in this flight.

Neil Smith was there again with 36 points to win a countback over playing partner, Lesley Chow.

Tony Browne has retained his consistency to also score 36 points, but lost out on the countbacks to finish fourth.
Adam Davies, after a win at Pattavia two days ago, won a countback on 35 points for the fifth spot.

One of our newest Danish visitors, 𝗜𝘃𝗮𝗻 𝗡𝗲𝗶𝗹𝘀𝗲𝗻, had the thrill of the day with a 𝗛𝗼𝗹𝗲-𝗶𝗻-𝗢𝗻𝗲 on the Par3, B3 island green. The whole ‘near pin’ pot went to him.

As, now, many courses are drying out quite quickly, Pattana still has nice green fairways, although not the darker green shade, and the greens are in very good condition, albeit a little slower than expected. Khun Nate at Pattana assures us they will be even better and quicker in a week.
After a generous starter gave our 9 groups a two tee start, it was a fairly early return to Links at for a cold drink and a hot Chili Con Carne.

𝗟𝗶𝗻𝗸𝘀 𝗚𝗼𝗹𝗳 𝗦𝗼𝗰𝗶𝗲𝘁𝘆 is a PSC affiliated, friendly group and welcomes golfers of all levels.
