Recently returned from a trip to the U.K, Glen Elsworth reckoned he was a bit rusty. However, his first game back yielded 35 points and a spot on the podium.
Glen has, for a long time, been around #16 handicap so todayโ€™s great score of 43 points came โ€˜out of the blueโ€™ to leave a big gap to the second placed player.

Torben Lindgaard, was another to play a rare game with us and, once again, was in the โ€˜winnerโ€™s circle.
At his last visit, two weeks ago, he scored 40 points so todayโ€™s good effort of 38 points was no surprise.

Chris Walsh is a higher handicapper who manages to put in some very good scores at times. Since his return after an enforced stay away, he has been consistent. 35 points was good for third place here.

His handicap is still high, but Phil Davies is slowly getting back to form. A solid 34 points took fourth spot.

The fifth and final place went to a seven way countback on 32 points. After it was all calculated, Wayne Peppernell emerged as the winner that spot.

Pattaya Country Club is in nice condition but, like many other courses now, is starting to dry out as some fairways are showing signs of yellow. Others, however, with different grass, are holding onto a nice green shade and texture.
The greens are dry and slick with the front nine being in a little better condition than the back nine.

The course was busy again as we had another society of six groups ahead of our six groups, and yet another society following us. However, there were no hold ups and play moved along at a good pace.

Sweet and sour chicken with rice was the meal awaiting us back at Links.
