As the number of golfers coming out to play increases once again, this time to twenty six, we headed up the road with two buses and a number of cars.
The weather was fine and overcast, and just a bit warmer than expected.

Pattaya Country Club course is amazing in it’s transformation from a ‘goat track’ to now be a fine golf course in excellent condition.
The fairways, many having been re-layed, are nice to play from and the greens are top notch.
Having a nice day on a nice course saw plenty of big scores from our seven groups.

Our American Buddy, Jamie Booterbaugh, on his annual Thailand visit, usually plays very well and, finally, clocked up a big enough score to grab his first ever Green Jacket, with a great 41 points.
Tony Browne, after some ordinary scores recently, brought his top game out to score 40 points for second spot.
Neil Smith has been gradually lowering his handicap and this 38 points should see it shaved some more.
One of the French Connection, seventy eight year old Jean-Pierre Gasser, won a countback on 37 points to take fourth place. Not bad from a #10 handicap.
Mike Souden was well pleased with his 37 points but, on this day, that score became only fifth place. He is headed back to Buriram now.
Huw Phillips and Bob Paine had to go to countback to separate their 36 points scores, with Huw just slipping ahead of Bob.
There was another 36 points, from Michael Lohse, and he settled for the ‘best front nine’ score.

How quickly the golfing scene has changed in the last couple of weeks as we have welcomed back more of our regulars returning from their home country.
